Applications to Dormitories

Students who have not applied during registrations can apply to the Directorate of Dormitories (in Dormitory 2 building) within two weeks after classes start.
Assessment of the Applications
Dormitory applications are assessed and scored according to criteria set by the Executive Board of the Dormitories and approved by the Presidency, taking into consideration the university entrance scores of the applicants. The results of the assessments are announced both on the bulletin boards at the Directorate of Dormitories in Dormitory 2 and on the Directorate’s website. Students may learn when they are to register to the dormitory and the next placement date from the weekly posted definitive registration announcement table.
Registration to the Dormitories
Dormitory placements are made starting from the students with the highest scores. The placements continue by lowering scores according to vacated places each week. This procedure goes on until every student who has applied within the application period is placed in a dorm. Students eligible for placement in a dorm should apply to that dorm with all the required documents during working hours, the latest on the announced day of application to complete the registration procedure.
In order to complete the registration procedure, students should apply, with all the required documents during working hours within the specified period, to the dorm indicated across their names on the list announced on the bulletin boards and the Directorate’s website.
The Status of Students Who Miss Their Turn
Students who have been placed in the final registration list and thus earned the right to register to a dorm will lose this right if they do not register within the announced period. If these students reapply for registration, their points will be calculated anew by deducting points for late application and they will be placed accordingly.
